Last Thursday, over 40 LiLas (or Ladies Investing/Local Angels) gathered at Frontier RTP for the group’s quarterly Deal or No Deal event. These sessions are designed to encourage members to “look beyond the pitch and evaluate startup opportunities with a critical eye.”
This time around, LiLa members were joined by ReefCycle, a concrete company that mimics shell formation to help usher in a future of low-emission construction.
Co-Founder Shannon Parker gave an investor pitch and received feedback from a panel of investors that included Stephanie Simon (Blueridge Climate Ventures), Sarah Williams (Offset Collective), and Susan Wall (CED, formerly Corevist). This was followed by anonymous feedback from the members, who got to discuss how they evaluate a pitch and share expertise with one another.
