The Friday Nooner: A New Season Begins With Seguno CEO Chris Geiss

Welcome back! Today’s Friday Nooner effectively marked a season premiere, as well as the beginning of a new chapter for the show sans longtime co-host Pete McEntegart—who is off making people laugh in and around the Triangle. GrepBeat Godfather Joe Colopy and Melissa Crosby of Colopy Ventures brought the show back on air, comfortably seated in front of the awesome new mural at HQ (special thanks to summer artist-in-residence Xiomara Colopy!).

Joe and Melissa provided a general update on all things GrepBeat, a few takes on the news, and a bit of banter. (Key revelation: alcohol does not, in fact, help you sleep better.) Then they welcomed the season’s first guest, Chris Geiss of Seguno, who last Nooner‘d with us in 2021.

A Friend of GrepBeat who worked with the Godfather back in the Bronto days, Chris spoke about Seguno, a marketing suite for Shopify merchants. He touched on what’s made the company a multi-time “Best Places To Work” honoree, why donuts and themed bathrooms matter, and what challenges he sees on the horizon.
