WeWork Durham Fireside Chat With Mayor Steve Schewel
November 28, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us at WeWork One City Center for a unique opportunity to hear from Durham’s very own Mayor Steve Schewel in a conversation moderated by Leadership Triangle’s Executive Director Jesica Averhart.
The City of Durham has embraced an agenda built on bold, inclusive ideas. Mayor Schewel will discuss his vision and solutions to unlock the City’s potential and empower the talent, culture and innovation in the Bull City to drive success.
This event would not be complete without some of Durham’s favorite drinks, bites and great company. RSVP to claim your seat and WeWork hopes to see you there!
Mayor Steve Schewel, The City of Durham
Mayor Schewel’s 40+ years of experience immersed in Durham’s civic and political life have prepared him to lead us towards realizing a shared vision—a vision of a prosperous, innovative, green and welcoming city that thrives on diversity and difference, that defends the vulnerable among us, that cherishes robust, respectful debate on difficult questions, that embodies the belief that all residents get an opportunity to share in our newfound prosperity.
Bobby Condon, General Manager, WeWork
Condon serves as the General Manager for WeWork’s Southeastern region, overseeing internal teams and business operations across the following six markets: Atlanta, Charlotte, Kansas City, Miami, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham. currently resides in Atlanta with his family. He resides in Atlanta with his wife and two sons and works out of WeWork 1372 Peachtree, the company’s Southeastern HQ.
Jesica Averhart, Executive Director, Leadership Triangle
Averhart is the Executive Director of Leadership Triangle, a non-profit organization established in 1992 to provide leadership training while promoting regionalism across the separate communities of the Triangle (Durham, Wake, Orange and Chatham). Over the last 5 years, Jes has bridged the relationships between the good work taking place within the community (both public and private) and the ideation taking place daily between companies.
This is a ruthlessly curated list of special events that are—in our fallible yet final opinion—particularly relevant to the Triangle’s tech startup community. Submit an event here for our consideration. No promises!
