Machine Learning Bootcamp for Software Developers
February 13, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm$5
Are you a software engineer/developer looking to learn more about machine learning? Join machine learning experts from Infinia ML for an intense bootcamp built specifically for you.
You’ll walk away with a foundational understanding of deep learning, an intro to the popular ML library TensorFlow, and practical advice for building software products with machine learning.
We’ll be in The Classroom at The Frontier, a co-working space in Research Triangle Park. You’ll find plenty of parking at the building, and most people inside should know where The Classroom is.

How to Prepare
Please visit our GitHub repo for the Bootcamp:
Please read the README file in the repo (just scroll down the page a bit after clicking that link ) and follow the “Setup steps – before the bootcamp” instructions.
If you have any setup issues, you can create GitHub issues and we’ll respond there.
Your Instructors May Include:
Justin Ellis, Ph.D., Data Scientist, Infinia ML. Justin was an Einstein Postdoctoral Fellow at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory / California Institute of Technology. His research focused on analysis of astrophysical data for gravitational wave detection, and he led a multi-institute team of researchers in statistical analysis and software development.
Robbie Allen, CEO, Infinia ML. Robbie is the founder and Executive Chairman of Automated Insights, an AI company which was acquired by Vista Equity Partners. He is also a former Distinguished Engineer at Cisco.
David Rasch, Director of Engineering, Infinia ML. David served as both CTO and Chief Architect at email marketing company iContact. He went on to launch the data science team at the musician platform ReverbNation and helped to reboot the Engineering, Data, and DevOps teams at 3 Birds Marketing.
Matt Scruggs, Software Engineer, Infinia ML. Matt comes to Infinia ML from Oracle + Bronto, where he developed a scalable recommender system and backend platform for product catalog data. Previously, he developed a variety of scientific software solutions at RTI International (in Research Triangle Park) such as agent-based models, genetic algorithms, and environmental risk models.
This is a ruthlessly curated list of special events that are—in our fallible yet final opinion—particularly relevant to the Triangle’s tech startup community. Submit an event here for our consideration. No promises!
